| 内容記述 | In this research we selected festivals which use traditional and characteristic festival lanterns in the areas along Japan Sea coast from Tohoku to Hokuriku regions, and conducted onsite surveys of the materials and production processes of the festival lanterns through the interviews with those involved in the production. The next on-site research report will deal with the Tanabata festival in Murakami city, Niigata prefecture. Our main focus of this research report is the festival lanterns used in Tanabata floats at the Tanabata Festival in Murakami city, Niigata prefecture. We mainly report the result of questionnaires, conducted in 2014 on the site of the Murakami Festival and in the towns where the procession of the festival went around, about the tools and equipment used in the festival, and the field survey conducted in 2017 in the place of production interviewing people in charge of every town about the material and production process. |
