| 内容記述 | This research develops thinking around the Kougei technique of metal hammering, and considers the creation of accessible art with expressions that are closely related to the artist and the technique. Accessible art aims to bring physical and psychological distance closer by establishing a relationship between the artwork and the recipient. Metal hammering, which I use in my work, is one of the craft techniques used to create “Utsuwa,” and I proceed with my work and thoughts with the understanding that I am a craftsman. In the course of this study, I brought to light the contours of Kougei in my own mind and made a self-interpretation of metal hammering. We felt that Kougei can expand the space through the interaction between the creator and the receiver of the work. Crafts are obsessed with technique, and I felt that technique leads to expression. Kougei is an act of expanding oneʼs world and reconstructing and reinterpreting techniques by confining oneself to the technique. |
